This Week @ 39 Serenity Place

Updated: Oct 28, 2022

Sue L Hi Everybody, Now that it is April and people are venturing outside, we are hoping to plan more activities of interest. If you haven't stopped by in a while, pop in and check us out. If you are new, pop in and check us out. If you are John F. or Connor L. pop in when you are in town.... ? Masks are still required at the Clubhouse which we will provided if needed. The Pitch Tournament is this Sunday April 10. Its not too late to sign up, just call Sue L by Saturday April 9 and you can play. Also, there will be a dinner after the 1 pm AA Meeting. We just don't know what yet. The last four weeks people have volunteered to cook the entire meal and we have filled in where necessary. Any takers for this weekend? It can be as simple as soup and sandwiches. Let Sue L know if you would like to volunteer. ( You can always count on Willie's Awesome Salad , Delma's desserts and Ice Cream Steve's endless supply of ice cream!) If you would like to donate the food and don't want to cook, that is a possibility! We will be celebrating Pat and Carol's actual birthdays too! Don't forget the Basket Raffle is this Sunday ! Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets or will purchase tickets this weekend! All money goes toward the operation of the Clubhouse Last Sunday Char B and Pam B had a stellar dinner after the 1 pm AA Meeting. It was nice enough to grill outside so we had hamburgers and hotdogs, macaroni salad, Willie's awesome salad, Sue L baked beans and Delma's Desserts and Ice cream from ... Ice Cream Steve. There was a lot of food and a small crowd and still the food was gone by the end of the day! It was nice to see Carol H and Sara M and newcomer Pat. Naturally there was a card game but without Gaeton R. and David D. Luckily we still had enough players to get at least one game going. There will be an Easter Dinner and Egg Hunt after the 1 pm AA meeting. Still trying to get an accurate number so if you would like to join us let someone at the clubhouse know. We are serving ham, scalloped potatoes, and carrots . Please bring a dish to pass to fill in the menu. If you would like a meal and cannot attend the dinner, we are still offering take outs. Just let us know in advance.

On Saturday May 8th Darcy F and her sister are teaching a cricket class. We already have some people signed up but can fit in a few more if you are interested. All supplies are included and the cost is $10.00 which will be donated to the clubhouse. If you would like more information, please contact Char B. We are still trying to get Girl Scout Pam B. back art the craft table so f you see her, encourage her return!! The Quilt Class had to be rescheduled and Jane F has agreed to hold it in the Fall . We also put the Movie Day on hold because of Covid but may resume that Easter Weekend. There is also talk of another garage sale and camping. Some people want to go to Alexandria Bay , Tail of the Pup and the Bill Wilson House. If any of these activities interest you let us know. Or if you have an idea in mind we are all ears.
